Enables Providers to Optimize the Patient Experience for Virtual Health Visits

Boston, Massachusetts, April 10, 2018—Press Ganey today announced its new Telemedicine for Medical Practice surveys. The new offering is part of its comprehensive suite of transformational solutions and comprises two proprietary surveys with specialized questions to capture deeper insights around key components of care for virtual health care visits. The solution was developed in partnership with the company’s Telemedicine Client Advisory Council and feedback garnered from its pilot program.

“With the growing application of digital technology in health care, virtual interactions with patients are on the rise.” said Dr. James Merlino, Press Ganey chief transformation officer. “The unique nature of telemedicine calls for specialized feedback mechanisms so doctors can ensure the patient experience of virtual care is equal to their standards for face-to-face visits. This new solution allows physicians to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality care for both virtual and in-person patient visits.”

The surveys’ scientifically validated questions address every aspect of a patient’s experience during the virtual visit, yielding meaningful and actionable insights for key performance metrics and providing data to track performance and trends over time. Organizations can also access Press Ganey’s comparable databases to benchmark performance against other virtual visits or traditional in-person visits.
